More about each session:

Session 1 | June 2 : Transitions between seasons come naturally because of our thoughts, values, and the beliefs we hold. Some of the emotions you might expect to experience include excitement, passion, euphoria, courage, and confidence. Think about the factors that enable transitions naturally:

  • Good plans and preparation

  • Solid Choices and decisions

  • Prolonged self-reflection

  • Capitalizing on the right opportunities

Session 2 | June 9 : The summer season is a time for reward, celebration, and fulfillment. As we practice today let’s think about the balance between the outward, fiery energy of summer with an inward glance focusing on the heart.

Session 3 | June 16 : The heart is not only associated with romantic love. It’s about connecting and relating in any relationship whether with others or ourselves. It’s about going beyond the limitations of the ego to open more fully to compassions and of acceptance of all that is, as it is. When you open your heart, you open the door to infinite possibilities.

What does, living with an open-heart mean to you?

Session 4 | June 23 : Today’s focus is on balance, peace, and gratitude. Where the summer season is about solar energy, warmth, being active and outward oriented; lunar energy is cool, receptive, and inwardly focused. It reminds us to “chill out before we burn out.”

Session 5 | June 30 : Today’s class will focus on ways to lean and use support. Finding balance is knowing when to ask for help, being vulnerable to do so and accepting we do not have to do it on our own. In honor of this focus, we will use props for some of the poses today.
